In March of the present year, the South Africa eVisa will be finally launched, it was first announced back in March 2018 and started its trial phase in November 2019, so it’s ready to be officially launched and used. This eVisa will be available to citizens from 15 countries, who until now needed to apply for a regular paper visa.
This easier form to apply for a visa and visit a country will be of great benefit to the South African tourism industry. It is not yet known how much this eVisa will cost or the validity period it will have, but it has been said that the requirements to apply will be very similar to the actual South Africa visa ones, the first being having a valid passport.
This eVisa will eliminate the hassle of going in person to the embassy and having to wait for all the procedures to be done, as well as the lines waiting at the airport for the visas on arrival.
