An official document that enables you to enter and travel in India, a Medical eVisa can be obtained for entry and travel specifically for receiving medical treatment at a reputed/ recognised hospital or treatment centre in the country.
You’ll need a hospital letter (outlining the medical purposes of your visit), a digital copy of the last page of your passport, a digital passport-sized photo and a credit/ debit card or PayPal account (for payment).
Once obtained, a Medical eVisa is valid for 60 days, beginning the date of your arrival in India, and enables you to enter the country a total three times within that 60-day window. However, be aware that a completed Self Declaration Form is valid for just one single entry to the country.
Your passport must be valid for no less than six months beyond the date of your arrival (and contain two blank pages for stamping purposes).
You can apply for and use a Medical eVisa for India three times in a calendar year (January-December).
Once your application has been processed, we will email you your Medical eVisa document for India. Be sure, then, to print out a hard copy of the document (and print out a hard copy of your completed and processed Self Declaration Form) to present it to an immigration official on your arrival.
The maximum stay in the country with a single Medical eVisa is 60 days.
A single Medical eVisa enables you to enter three times within its 60-day window of validity.
A Medical eVisa can be used to enter India via 26 designated airports; Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum and Varanasi & Vishakhapatnam. As well as the Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, Mumbai and Chennai seaports. (Medical eVisa holders can, however, leave the country by any authorised Immigration Check Post)
