Citizens from all countries are eligible to obtain a Tourist eVisa for Ethiopia.
The situation in each country during the Covid 19 pandemic is changing rapidly. Please check with the foreign office of the country in order to ascertain the most up to date entry requirement for vaccination and Covid tests.
The Business eVisa is meant for travellers who wish to visit Ethiopia for leisure (and, to an extent, business) purposes. it does not entitle you to work during your stay.
To successfully obtain a Tourist eVisa, you’ll need a digital copy of your passport (last page), a digital passport-sized photo, a letter of invitation from a host (if applicable), a letter of invitation from a specific business and its business registration (if applicable), a certificate from the tax authority (if applicable) and a credit/ debit card (for payment).
This depends on the processing time you have chosen. Please refer to the FastTrackVisa website page for that country for more information.
You must possess a passport that’s valid for six months beyond the date of your arrival.
Depending on which payment option you choose, it will either take 48 hours or 3-5 business days.
A Tourist eVisa is valid for a total 90 days and from the date a traveller intends to enter Ethiopia, not from the eVisa’s date of issue.
This is a single-entry visa solution.
You’ll need to apply for a Tourist eVisa no later than three days in advance of departing for Ethiopia.
As with all countries, the final right to admit you into the country resides with an immigration officer on arrival into the port of entry.
You’ll need to show your valid passport, your Tourist eVisa and (if applicable) a letter of invitation from a company/ organisation.
