The FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple), often known as the Mexico Tourist Card, is an obligatory entrance requirement for all foreign nationals visiting Mexico for tourism, business, or pleasure.
The Mexican Immigration Authority implemented it in order to reTAin an official record of all visitors to the nation.
The FMM is valid for a maximum of 180 days from the time the immigration seal is stamped and can be used for a single entrance by air or land (upon arrival in Mexico).
The Tourist Card can be obtained by filling out a simple online application form prior to flying to Mexico or crossing one of its land borders.
This includes providing some basic personal information, travel document information, and deTAils regarding the upcoming trip to Mexico. It only takes a few minutes to complete the entire form.
The approved FMM is emailed to the applicant, who must print it out and show it at border control.
The Mexican Tourist Card is only valid for visits to Mexico for business, tourism, or leisure. It does not entitle the holder to work or look for work in the country.
The FMM isn’t a type of visa. Travelers from nations not required to apply for a visa in Mexico must still obtain a Mexico Tourist Card. In order to visit Mexico, citizens of other countries must apply for the appropriate visa in addition to the FMM.
An FMM is required for all tourists, including minors. The application can be completed on their behalf by their parents or legal guardians.
